St. Anns Bay, the nearest town, is a delightful non touristic Jamaican market town with a bustling market and shops, easily accessed by minibuses that pass the end of the lane. You can shop here for all your supplies. More convenient and nearer is the smaller village of Salem which can also provide you with most of your provisions. Ocho Rios one of Jamaica's oldest tourist towns packed with sites, shops and bars is 10 miles away. Local Jamaican Tourist Office (tel.974 2582 or 2570). Local attractions include:

Golf and tennis facilities attached to hotels are 10 minutes away. Jamaica has 12 golf courses. The nearest to Kling Kling is the Sandals Golf and Country Club - 18 holes, 6600 yards, par 71 (tel. 975 0119)

Nearby is Club Caribbean and other major hotels that offer day passes to do scuba diving and other water sports. There is white water rafting down the majestic Rio Grande near Port Antonio which is a days activity. Nearer river rafting also on White River Ochos Rios or near Falmouth on the Martha Brae.

Chukka Cove, a polo club and riding stables is two minutes away (the organized horse rides from Chukka Cove ride past the beach in the sea twice a day). Here you can watch polo matches at the weekend and throughout the week go on organised riding trips. You can also hire bicycles or go on organised cycling trips in the hills.

Explore the hilly interior and visit the hill top market town of Brownstown (which has a view of Cuba on a clear day) Drive out to Nine Miles the birth place of Bob Marley.
